Objects of (my) desire! (Computing)

Starting with Personal Computing, let me talk about the Acer Ferrari One Netbook.

The netbooks have been termed as game-changers. They have made personal computing more affordable and portable. Many critics believe that the netbook category is still in its nascent stage and there is room for much more than what exists. I thinks that's the case with all forms of technology. The pace at which technology evolves, it's always the case that what you have now is going to be redundant in 6 months time if not less.

Lets Look at the specifications of the Acer Ferrari One:

The Acer Ferrari One FO200-1799 has an 11.6-inch HD widescreen display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. It is powered by an 1.20 GHz MD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor L310 and runs Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

The notebook measures 11.2 x 8.03 x 0.9/1.2 inches and weighs 3.31 pounds.

The notebook packs ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3200 Graphics for good visual quality, 4GB DDR2 RAM, and 250GB 5400rpm HDD.

The Acer Ferrari One FO200-1799 notebook is equipped with a Ferrari-engraved multi-gesture trackpad and a Crystal Eye webcam.

I guess its perfect for my personal use of writing a blog and surfing the web, my work on my computer doesn't involve any graphic heavy operations or gaming.

It’s basically an upmarket Netbook with an upmarket price, starting at around 450 euros which equates to $656 United States Dollars or a whiff off of £400. These are starting prices though; it’ll cost you more if you want some of the extras.
